MASSIMILIANO PATERNO’ biografia
Paternò Massimiliano nato a Crotone il 20-01-1971 e residente a Bologna in via Pier de crescenzi 40, 40131,inizia a suonare il basso da autodidatta all’età di 17 anni. Man mano nelle sale prove e con l’aiuto degli altri musicisti inizia ad apprendere anche la chitarra, la batteria e le percussioni. Forma e guida un gruppo rock in Calabria: I Mortimers dove compone canzoni proprie e arrangia cover quali: Ziggy Stardust ( D. Bowie ), The Magnificent Seven ( Clash ), Purple Haze (Jimi Hendrix), Simpaty for the devil (Rolling Stones). Negli anni ’90 si trasferisce a Bologna per studiare Scienze Politiche, ed entra in contatto con Peppe Voltarelli fondatore del Parto delle nuvole pesanti coi quali inizia una collaborazione. In seguito registra un demo con i Sierra Charriba (hard rock) che vinceranno la selezione a Bologna per Arezzo Wave, la batteria veniva registrata da Neffa che all’epoca suonava con i Negazione. Ha suonato anche musica africana con un gruppo formato da un ragazzo senegallese poi rimpatriato perché senza permesso di soggiorno. Ha fatto parte di gruppi Reggae e Punk, che ne caratterizzano la sua capacità a suonare i più svariati generi musicali, grazie anche alla sua cultura musicale aperta a quasi 360°. Ultima collaborazione con gli Arangara gruppo etno-rock che collabora nei teatri con Carlo Lucarelli e Claudio Lolli, dalla quale ne scaturisce un CD prodotto dalla casa discografica Galletti-Boston di Faenza. Ha studiato musica da autodidatta non a caso ha profonda ammirazione per l’autodidatta per eccellenza: Jimi Hendrix.
Ultimamente ha partecipato alle Clinic tenutasi nell’ostello S. Sisto in Bologna, con relativo attestato di frequenza.

Dal 15 febbraio 2013 è uscito il singolo A noi ci piace l’hip hop su itunes e digital store etichetta MTM Metamorfosi.
DA marzo 2015 il brano U Sud è presente nella compilation Musica Resistente della Protosound Polyproiect.
In aprile del 2016 esce il primo album da solista intitolato U SUD con la casa discografica inglese Sibeerecords.
La canzone U Sud di Massimiliano Paternò è uscita nella compilation Bongo Boy Beach di vari artisti internazionali realizzata il .21.06.2016 in Asia e il .04.07.2016 in tutto il mondo prodotta dalla etichetta internazionale americana Bongo Boy Records, produttore Gar Francis e dalla giornalista Monique Grimme.
Nel 2019 esce il primo EP con l’etichetta B BOOT RECORDINGS…

Paternò Massimiliano born in Crotone on 20-01-1971 and residing in Bologna in via Pier de crescenzi 40, 40131, began playing the bass as a self-taught at the age of 17. Gradually in the rehearsal rooms and with the help of other musicians he also begins to learn the guitar, drums and percussion. Forms and leads a rock group in Calabria: The Mortimers where he composes his own songs and arranges covers such as: Ziggy Stardust (D. Bowie), The Magnificent Seven (Clash), Purple Haze (Jimi Hendrix), Simpaty for the devil (Rolling Stones) . In the 1990s he moved to Bologna to study Political Science, and came into contact with Peppe Voltarelli, founder of the Childbirth of heavy clouds with whom he began a collaboration. Later he recorded a demo with Sierra Charriba (hard rock) who will win the selection in Bologna for Arezzo Wave, the drums were recorded by Neffa who played with Negazione at the time. He also played African music with a group formed by a Senegalese boy who was later repatriated because he did not have a residence permit. He has been part of Reggae and Punk groups, which characterize his ability to play the most varied musical genres, thanks also to his musical culture open to almost 360°. Last collaboration with the Arangara ethno-rock group that collaborates in theaters with Carlo Lucarelli and Claudio Lolli, from which comes a CD produced by the record company Galletti-Boston of Faenza. He studied music as an autodidact, it is no coincidence that he has deep admiration for the autodidact par excellence: Jimi Hendrix.
Lately he has participated in the Clinics held in the S. Sisto hostel in Bologna, with relative certificate of attendance.

FROM March 2015 the song U Sud is present in the compilation Musica Protetta of Protosound Polyproiect.
In April 2016 the first solo album entitled U SUD was released with the English record company Sibeerecords.
The song U Sud by Massimiliano Paternò was released in the compilation Bongo Boy Beach by various international artists made on 06.21.2016 in Asia and on 07.04.2016 all over the world produced by the American international label Bongo Boy Records, producer Gar Francis and by journalist Monique Grimme.
In 2019 the first EP was released with the B BOOT RECORDINGS label…
